I know, WHAT?

Yes, what it says - teams will be allowed to register from event to event for any non-franchised team spots! BUT - lets cover the final details of what the NEXL & MLP will be in 2010 first!


First - NEXL Team Franchise Fees now cover 12 PLAYERS!!!!! AND
7 Man MLP Franchise Fees now cover 10 PLAYERS!

After Meeting with each Leagues Team Owners - the following details were agreed on in both sets of Franchises:

Both Leagues will follow their respective Leagues (NPPL & PSP) Formats for their D2 Divisions which means MLP & NEXL Teams will now be allowing either 2 D1 players or 1 Semi Pro per roster. With the reclassification of players, this is a happy medium to ensure teams a solid and unified criteria without limiting competition. Truly everyone has a home in the NEXL/NEPL.

With regard to how players / teams will be ranked in the APPA system using the new point system - a short explanation: Players earn a certain number of points per event they play and how well they do at each event they play - the number you earn at each event is based upon the division you play in. Since the average rank of players playing in the franchised divisions is D3 - but we want to follow the D2 rules, we have worked with the APPA to ensure that players are still assessed correctly and are still earning the correct number of points meaning:

Both leagues (the MLP & NEXL) will have an APPA per event scoring of a D3 division (4x multiplier) allowing teams to still play D3 or possibly D4 when traveling to National events.

Franchise Fees - $1995 for the season will now cover ALL 5 Events - teams will now be playing in all 5 events - with the season champion being crowned after the total of all 5 events which now means that to play in a franchised league - in now 5 TOTAL EVENTS will cost franchised teams only $399 (in entrance fees) per Event!! Remember - Paint offered for as low as $35/$40/$45 a case to franchised teams!!!

Both MLP/NEXL are now open for Event to Event participation.
Entrance fee per team per event will be $495 & Pre-Paid Paint $35/$45/$55
100% of open Entrance Fees going straight into a NEW End of Day winner prizes! We will take as many event to event teams as we have non-franchised spots for - limited to 18 teams competing per event!

Franchise Perks will remain available to just the franchised teams so a quick reminder:
MLP 7 Man franchised teams will still compete for 2 Free NPPL Entrance Fees!! Entrance to NPPL Washington DC will be given to the leader from the franchised teams after Events 1 & 2 and Entrance to NPPL Las Vegas will be given to the leader from the franchised teams after Events 3 & 4

and now**NEW
2 half off PSP Entrance Fees will be awarded to the NEXL Franchised Teams following the same criteria! Franchised NEXL teams will be in the running for two 1/2 off a PSP Entrance Fees - so one will be awarded to the leader of the franchised NEXL teams after Events 1 & 2 and one will be awarded to the leader of the franchised NEXL teams after Events 3 & 4!!!

Reffing all season will be handled by a fully committed staff of Head Judges including: Scott & Matt Collins, Jewa and Vinny Zizzo along with MLP Team Synergy in the Race To and NEXL Team Shipyard in the MLP.

There are currently 6 spots left in the MLP and 5 spots left in the NEXL - so if you don't want to commit you still have an opportunity to play!!!

The NEPL will be held on the best tournament fields in the Northeast, and some of the BEST, Most Competitive teams will call the NEPL home in 2010 - here's your chance to still get in on it!!!
