What is The NEPL?
The NEPL (New England Paintball League) is New England's Largest Tournament Paintball Series. The NEPL has been running since 1996 - and now has a permanent home at Boston Paintball's Outdoor Field in Maynard Ma.

The goal of the NEPL (New England Paintball League) is to help as many people as we possibly can who want to play the game on a competitive level to do so. In the NEPL - there are many, many options when it comes to getting started so take a look at what we have to offer and hopefully you will find a place you feel comfortable and get in the game!
NEPL events have evolved from 1 day events into what looks to become a weekend extravaganza! 3 Man and XBall will play on Saturdays and 5 Man and 7 Man will play on Sundays - allowing players not only more choices but more opportunities to flex their competitive muscles.
Where to Start?
Well, three man is the easiest type of team to form - and it is also a great place to start the adventure into competition paintball - but we realize that not everyone has a couple of buddies they can grab and just form a team with - so to help, we have a place to find other players who are in the same boat! The NEPL Forums offer a place to both find players looking for teams and teams looking for players. Most players post their experience and where they play - and arrange to meet up from there - you can get to the Forums HERE - you will be required to register but it is easy - so get signed up and get on your way to playing competitive paintball this year! Once you have that done - you'll want to play in the division that is best suited to your teams experience level so check out the options!
For Beginners:
The NEPL Jr is our 3 man series - geared towards beginner teams and players. There are 2 divisions. First - the Beginner - which is for new tournament players ages 10 - 15 only. This is pretty much an intro division to tournament paintball - a place where kids who maybe are in their first serious phase of the sport can learn the basics of competitive paintball. The second is the Rookie division - same idea as the beginner division without the age restrictions. Rookie players tend to have no more than a year of tournament experience and are allowed some flexibility in testing the waters of competitive paintball. Rookie players are allowed to play in local events but once they achieve certain accomplishments - must move up the ranks. The NEPL Jr events are held five times a year and are all held at Boston Paintball's Outdoor Field in Maynard Ma (We try to run an indoor event over the winter as well). The events are all one day events and spectators are always welcome to come on down and watch the games. There is a preliminary round of games then there are semi-finals and then finals. Teams do take home prizes and trophies at each event (1st - 4th)
OR
NEPL 5 Man Novice Division - a 5 man series with 5 events through the year held at the Boston Paintball's Outdoor Field in Maynard Ma. The NEPL Novice division is a beginner division aimed at 5 man teams who have minimal tournament experience. Teams can roster up to 8 players and play a 6 game preliminary round with semi-finals and finals to follow (if they qualify) This division follows former NPPL / current USPL rules in that a semi-automatic / uncapped rate of fire is used - meaning one ball per pull of the trigger only. This division is perfect for 5 man teams just getting into tournament paintball with the point system being based on things such as players eliminated, players kept alive, flag pulls, possession of flag and the hang. The events are all one day events and spectators are always welcome to come on down and watch the games. There is a preliminary round of games then there are semi-finals and then finals. Teams do take home prizes and trophies at each event (1st - 4th)
Have some experience or been playing for YEARS?
The NEXL is New Englands New Xball League. The NEXL events are held on the same dates as the NEPL Jr Events - with four events (a 5th possible Championship Event) total. The NEXL is a "Locked League" Teams interested in playing must purchase a franchise spot (Deadline for Franchise: 2/15/10). Rosters cover all experience levels from Pro - D5 with teams being allowed to roster up to 2 Pro/Semi-Pro players. This allows the bar to be raised on a competition level - without teams becoming uncompetitive. Franchised teams pay lower entrance fees and lower paint fees. Teams guaranteed 2 matches per event. XBall plays on Saturday so that players may play 7 Man on Sunday as well!
OR
The MLP - The MLP is the 7 man series in the NEPL, it is a franchised league with spots available to 18 teams (Deadline for a franchise is 2/15/10). MPL Teams play in 2 conferences - with 9 teams in each conference. Teams play inter-conference games as well as cross-conference games for a total of 32 games over 4 events. Top 4 teams in each conference after 4 events move on to compete in the Championship Event for the title (a fifth event). Seven man is based upon NPPL rules. Teams may roster 2 Pro / Semi-Pro players. 7 Man events are held on Sunday - allowing some players the opportunity to play in both formats - Xball on Saturday and 7 Man on Sunday!
OR
NEPL 5 Man Amateur - a 5 man series with 5 events through the year held at the Boston Paintball's Outdoor Field in Maynard Ma. The NEPL Amateur division is an advanced division aimed at 5 man teams who have some to vast tournament experience. Teams can roster up to 8 players and play a 6 game preliminary round with semi-finals and finals to follow (if they qualify) This division follows former NPPL / current USPL rules in that a semi-automatic / uncapped rate of fire is used - meaning one ball per pull of the trigger only. This division is perfect for 5 man teams who love tournament paintball without the commitment of an entire season or set roster of players. The Amateur division plays on Sunday along with the 7 Man MPL. Teams may roster a mix of players from D4 - D2 and are allowed 1 D1 player per roster.
